Thank you Rachel Herr (see pg 30 on link!) for capturing these candid moments last evening at Art Lotto’s artists/judges/sponsors Private Party. What a fun evening of looking and admiring and chatting and fun. It was a great sight to see all eyes glued to the walls of the Artful Dodger in admiration of the diverse talent that surrounds us. Portraits will be up through the month of August.

2013 Promo Video
Check out our promo video for this year’s Art Lotto! Big THANK YOU to Andy Vanhook of Appeal Production for making this happen with a quickness and to the artists that showed up to help out. YEAH ART!
Behind the Muse(s): Promo Shoot
On Sunday morning a few Lotto artists met in the parking lot beside Larkin Arts for a short and sweet promo shoot with Andy Vanhook of Appeal Productions. It was a showdown of sorts with weapons of mass…creation. It was a western-themed venture on the streets of downtown ‘Burg. We laughed, a lot. And we can’t wait to share the finished product. Stay tuned!
Behind the Muse: with Lynn Lough
Lynn Lough is new to Art Lotto this year and we are so excited to have her creative energy on board! Lynn is in the first stages of portrait planning and to her, it’s more than putting a face on a canvas. Here’s a little glimpse into the mind of Lynn Lough:

“I’m creating a portrait of Rhoda Miller for Art Lotto. As an artist who approaches my work in a very expressionist manner it’s extremely important for me to know my subject on a emotional level. I met Rhoda for the first time at Art Lotto’s Luck of the Draw. I snapped a few photo’s of her then and immediately became enthralled with her eyes, which are amazing! But, pondering how I was going to get even a glimpse into her “soul” in such a sort time seemed a bit daunting. As the “luck of the draw” would have it, last week I was able to attend her art opening at the Joshua Wilton House (It’s a great show and is up through June). Getting to see Rhoda’s work was very inspring and informative and gave me insight as to how I want to portray her. After all, there are few better ways to know an artitst then through her work! Rhoda gave me permission to photograph her work at the opening and I immediately came home and started playing with the images. Here’s a little teaser video I made for inspiration…who know where this will lead! I guess we will all find out in the weeks to come! Cheers!” ~Lynn
